OUR ART CLUB
At Rainbow Society Leiden we are inspired by a range of rainbow artists, such as Keith Haring, Erwin Olaf and Frida Kahlo! They bring our subculture to life with their vibrant and versatile art. We explore all kinds of art forms and techniques, from film and performing arts to writing and 3D art, from music to fashion and photography. We find physical and mental health very important and that is why we have clubs for sports, reading, meaning and more. We also want to explore our historical roots and highlight the struggle of the LGBTQA+ movement for freedom, because that struggle continues to this day. Our mission is to create, meet, explore and grow together in a colorful whole. Join us! We have multiple locations in Leiden, so we can offer more safe places. Rainbow Society Leiden connects the rainbow community through all forms of art, culture, sports and regularly organizes activities, such as the largest exhibition made by amateur makers from the Leiden region, Queer Quill (writing) competition, other creative gatherings, film evenings, picnics, singing evenings , book reviews, walks and accessible theme conversations.
